Sometimes there are obstacles that can prevent a student from performing their best in school and on standardized tests. Whatever the obstacles, our tutors are experienced in helping students overcome those challenges, opening the gate to achieving higher scores. Atlanta Scholars recognizes that getting high scores is only one part of success. The other part is applying students’ achievements in a way that maximizes their candidacy for a university or job. When, for example, multiple students graduate from high school with a 3.5 GPA and a 35 score on the ACT, which student does the university accept? Moreover, as one of our tutors mentioned: “in high school the focus of guidance counselors was getting students into their top choice university… but what about assessing the different majors, long-term professional routes, and realities of these professions?” These discussions are necessary components of a smart approach to life.
