As a Scholar

Coming from a very poor area I have seen first-hand the benefits of a good education and quality mentors.  Being afforded the opportunity to get a good education, I am constantly seeking to fulfill the role of a positive mentor and tutor.  During my time at Georgia Tech I have gained extensive experience in tutoring within the athletic association and Mechanical Engineering department.  I specialize in math and science and find them extremely fascinating from an intellectual and academic standpoint.  I enjoy meeting new people from all cultures, age groups, and backgrounds and hope to use these skills throughout my life in the professional environment.

As an engineering student, I learned very early on that I will not make it through my degree without a balance of work and extracurricular activities. Sports such as soccer, basketball, and tennis are a very easy outlet for me after a long day of studying and working on problems. Academically, however, I am extremely interested in research. I love taking a problem and solving it from the ground-up using experimentation. My current research focus is on 3D printing. I love to create. 3D printing is the most efficient and modern method for creating that is both cheap and effective for many applications. Lastly, I am extremely interested in culture. I speak Spanish and German and enjoy using these languages to create unique connections to the diverse people here at Georgia Tech.
